Madonna has postponed her upcoming Celebration tour due to a serious bacterial infection.

Guy Oseary, Madonna's tour manager, made the announcement about the postponement of the Celebration tour on Instagram.

Madonna had a several-day stay in the ICU but is now improving and expected to make a full recovery.

Due to Madonna's health condition and the bacterial infection, all commitments, including the tour, have been paused until further notice.

The Celebration tour was scheduled to start on July 15 in Vancouver and include stops across North America and Europe.

This would have been Madonna's 12th concert tour and would feature songs from every era of her career.

The tour delay also affected the production of a planned biopic about Madonna's life, in which Julia Garner was attached to star.

The biopic project was previously on hold due to Madonna's touring commitments but had shown promising signs of progress.

Julia Garner was selected for the lead role after auditions and a challenging bootcamp overseen by Madonna.

Madonna had previously spoken about the film's script creation, describing it as a draining and challenging experience.
