Giannis Antetokounmpo was sidelined for Game 2 of the Milwaukee Bucks' playoff series against the Miami Heat due to a lower back contusion.

Antetokounmpo suffered the injury during Game 1 when he collided with Kevin Love while driving to the basket.

Antetokounmpo attempted his free throws before leaving the game with his injury.

Although Antetokounmpo was upgraded on the injury report from doubtful to questionable, he did not play in Game 2.

The Bucks were also missing Wesley Matthews, who was out with a right calf strain.

Milwaukee had Bobby Portis fill Antetokounmpo's spot in the starting lineup.

Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said Antetokounmpo has continued to improve, but a decision was made to sit him for Game 2.

Budenholzer said the team will continue to monitor Antetokounmpo's condition and remains optimistic he will be ready to play soon.

Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said the Bucks' style would be different without Antetokounmpo.

Milwaukee was 11-8 without Antetokounmpo during the regular season.
